Question on connecting IDF to IDF using fiber. To determine the amount of strands of fiber? Is multimode fiber the best way?
Thank you

Distance is the issue. If you are going over 290 meters, single mode is the safer media, for shorter distances multi mode is fine. And of course, if it is under 90 meters, Cat 6A is good.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

If I'm going to use Multimode. How many strands Should I use IDF to IDF
Thank you

Number of strands really depends on your situation and future needs. You'll use two immediately. I'd probably go with six since this is a fairly standard cable configuration.

I would run at least 12-24 strands between closets, terminated in "LC" duplex panels. I would terminate all strands the first time though, as coming back and trying to terminate fiber after the system is in service is difficult at best.
