IDES 4.6B installation problem.

I have installed IDES 4.6B(oracle 8.0.6) on Pentium 4, 2.4 MHz, 256MB RAM, 80GB HDD on WIN2K system. It gave me following errors.

SM28

As per the procedure while checking system status through SM28 it gave error like “Application server with enque service SAPSRV_TEK_00 not running. Severe problems were detected during initial system check. Please do not use that system before fixing these problems”

In above error SAPSRV is my computer name and TEK is my instance name.

SM12

SM12 gave following error “Exception condition“ System failure” raised”

Sales orders

While creating sales order through sales user it gives error like “System error occurred during lock management”

ABAP programs

Also it is not allowing me to create new z program.

I’m desperately waiting for any suggestion or hint so that I could proceed in a right direction.

this problem is arising due to non start of all tasks in SAP System console management. next time you start installation at 96% Start System console management right click DD1(or the SAP system Admin name) and select "All tasks" and then Start. then you continue all the problems will be solved.

I have installed BW 3.1 and BW 3.1 IDES both on laptops and I would be interested in discussing the possibility of sharing knowledge and resources. I am trying to get an SAP r/3 installation running in order to do extracts from BW. I look forward to hearing from you
