I have a laptop with win xp prof with builtin LAN port.

There are different LANs of telecommunication equipments of different venders and hence not interconnected.
I am required to connect to each LAN with laptop via RJ45 to give commands via a browser.

The problem is each time when I change from one LAN to another, I have to manually change my laptop's IP address, particularly the Network Identifier part of it to that of the particular LAN.

This being the case, is there a possible solution without additional hardware like router ?
Thanks
