i am trying to find the phone number associated with a particular TN. please see below for what i did:

>ld 36
TRK000
.call 5 0 0 1
DN?
.19173592743

The above tel. # is my cell phone. Nothing is happening (I'm not getting a call back). what am I doing wrong?

Maybe I'm not understanding you. Is the TN 5 0 0 1 and you want to see what DN is programmed to it? If so, then go to LD 20 and do:

REQ: PRT
TYPE: TNB
CUST 0
TN 5 0 0 1

i printed my routs. There are a bunch of TNs in one of the routs and the rout is labelled COT (i realize it can be labelled anything but I am going on the assumption that they are in fact copper trunks). I am trying to find the telephone numbers for these copper lines. I am usually able to do it as shown above but this time I can't. thanks for your help.

pull the jumper to the outgoing cable pair at the demarc and ask the telephone co. what its connected to on their end.

it's a remote site. can't do that. i know i've done it before where, at the word "call?" i type in my cell phone # and the telephone number of the TN rings my phone so i can get the phone number

Perhaps there is a problem calling long distance on that line, have you tried having the system call someone locally?

Why cant you just plug a digital set into the TN and call an existing internal phone, when answered the dn will show on the display.

also why didny you do what mcgruff said and look at the TN print out, this will have the Dn info.

hope this helps

i am not trying to find the DN of a telephone. I have COT trunks and I am trying to find the associated telephone number. I have done it in the past where I pull up my COT TNs, then in ld 36 have the TN call my cell phone and I get the associated POTS #. It is a remote site. I am not physically there to check the POTS line tag. This is why I am trying to figure out how to do it remotely.

I have a switch in a area served by Sprint but that also has ATT trunks directly into it. The users dial 9-1-(***)***-**** and the switch then decides which trunks to use. BUT from a maint phone if I directly access the trunks I have to use 1-(***)***-**** on the sprint lines and only (***)***-**** on the ATT lines. My point is perhaps you need to modify the way you are entering your cell number for the TN you are using to call it. Good Luck

Make sure you have one of your digital sets programmed as maintanance set (CLS MTA)
