Identify Trunk Service

Service State in-service/idle

There are 2 T1's available for VOICE traffic
Each have a D channel

No Traffic on 1st T1

What to check?
Assistance Please
 
I would look at how you get traffic to the trunk group.
check that it is included as an option in the route-pattern/s that point to the second T1. If not, add it, if it's the second option frog it and see if it takes traffic.
Roger the phone guy has an excellent Avaya call flow chart if you need to dig further.

Thinking about it a little more...

Do you also mean there's no inbound traffic on the first T1? It could be that your provider is sending all traffic on the "first" T1 and only using the "second" T1 when the first is full. Perhaps, as Arlo555 suggested, you have the "first" and "second" in the wrong order on your trunk group. That would look like the first 23 member channels remain idle while all your traffic starts on member 24 and higher.
