We have a number of Nortel PBXs (81 and 11). Some have local Mermails and others have been recently networked to use centralized VM via CallPilot on a large Opt81. My question...can someone outline how I can determine if the TNs previoulsly used for local Mermails remain in service on the PBX event though the VM service is now provided on the CallPilot. Our vendor charges by total TNs (via LD 10 output) so I need to keep them honest. Thanks in advance.

Every phone that has Vmail will need to have it's FDN/hunt changed from the old Vmail to the new network Vmail. You can go to LD 81 and
REQ LST
return till FEAT
FEAT MWA
return till it prints

this will give you a list of phones that have Vmail allowed on them or you could do CNT instaed of LST. CNT will tell you how many phone's have Vmail Allowed

in ld 81 type lst then at feat enter vma. All of the voice mail ports should have had vma in the cls.

if the mermial used 7000 as a adn then print that dn.. if not prt acd and scan by maxp p to find the old mermail dn.s

I don't know what VMA is, but I don't get any CNT using that, but I do get a LST and CNT using MWA.

Excellent. I did verfity CNT and LST each produce TNs for systems with local Mermails; the same commands produce no TNs when the PBX uses central Call Pilot. Many thanks to those that responded!
