Hi All,

I hope you can help.

I have recently been informed by an open reach engineer that one of our numbers keeps calling 999 emergency services. BT have blocked this but i want to identify what is calling this.

I have the CLID of what we are calling out with and have looked through the system and i cannot work out what device on our system is making this call.

If someone could point me in the right direction ,that would be fantastic.

Many Thanks,

As you are in the UK, you need to tell us what version of phone system you have as this wasn't stated.

As for the emergency calls, these can be 999 or 112. Do you have any CDR attached to the phone system?. Do you normally dial "9" to access a outside line?.

Hi,

We have a CS1k on release 7.6. I am in the UK so its 999 and yes we dial 9 for an outside line.

I don't think we do have a CDR though i could be wrong.

(Sorry for the late reply, i have been off work for a couple of days)

Many Thanks,
B

I'm not up to date with the newer 7.x versions, but I'm wondering if 7.6 now has the data buffering and access feature available that used to be present on the older TM and OTM application as this could be used to log your calls if you don't have any CDR connected to the CS1000e system.

I don't believe the DBA feature ever went away but I assumed only TM could use it which is not supported anymore.

I'm not sure how i go about using these features you mentioned.

As i said it could be possible we have a CDR though i am not sure, i have only picked up the telephony side of I.T recently. How does one go about checking?

Many Thanks,

I understand the difficulty in trying to get to grips with taking on the telephony kit. You may have to contact your maintainer who hopefully will have a better understanding on what you have.
