IDE ZIP drives in Win2k? XP? 1

I have a pile of ZIP disks [100mb] floating around and I would really like to get the information off of these. Problem is I updated my OS from W98SE to Win2K and found out that that device is no longer recognized. Has anyone been able to make an IDE-based ZIP disk [100mb] unit function properly in Win2k?

I am currently using my 100m Zip with WinXP. I never had a problem. I just used the regular Win98 drivers. It may be different with 2000. I do know that Zip drives are particular about how they are connected, I think they have to be installed as slave. You might contact IoMega to see if they have 2000 drivers.

Just downloaded Iomega's latest driver. I'll try it later on this evening....thanks! Haven't been to that site in years. Hopefully this'll do it

I use the IDE Zip drives [100MB and 250MB] in WinXP, Win2000, and Win98/98SE, no problems. WinXP didn't need any drivers [built-in].

WinXP does seem to have a problem if the Disk Copy [Copy Disk ?] feature of Iomega's IOWare is installed.

USB Zip drives are automatically recognized in WinXP [built-in support.
