I have an IPO 8.0.53. I have an ICR that rings an extension then uses VMPro to overflow to HG. I am not sure it is set up properly. The ext has VM on. In VM there is a User, start point, with transfer to the HG. The ext does not use the VM. I just want the transfer to happen after 30 seconds 24/7. This is set up on 2 exts. One works, one doesn't. Does anyone know where I might find an example of this type of overflow in an Avaya installation or administration guide?

I saw where they had this set up another way. the ICR went to a HG and the HG had a similar start point/ leave/ transfer to HG. I will go onsite to watch the flow and see what is happening.

No point using VM pro for this, why not use normal system programming? :)

why not create a group with the one user then use overflow groups to ring other users?

My point exactly, but I didn't want to spell it out :)

what about the busy and no answer option?
But a group would be the best solution.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I wanted to do the groups also. The install team put it in, now the service team has to fix the design. Thanks for the suggestions.

Sounds like the install team over thought the use of VM, You can change the answer time for VM to 30 seconds that would make the Transfer to the HG happen faster. VM Pro is a great way to make calls flow from HG to HG to HG..etc...but in this instance the overflow option sounds cleaner.

Personally for this situation I wouldnt use a HG because then when you call an extension the other extension will see your extension number but when they have to call you now they have to remember to call your HG instead of your actual extension so it covers correctly. I think the forward on no answer would prolly be best in this situation like tlpeter said, however the way initially described sounds like it would better than the HG nonsense.
