I am running a published desktop on Windows 2000 SP3 Citrix XPa SP2. Most things are lovely jubbly however icons in the office xp tool bar and two in the Citrix tool bar are turning black they still function fine they just look unprofessional. I have tried all different color settings but this makes no difference.
Ideas?

This was a problem with an older client - have you tried upgrading the client?

Does this happen on all clients?

Everyone is running the latest client and I am currently trying to ascertain whether the issue is related to specific users or PCs.

Try changing the icon size in the display properties. Choose the appearance tab then go to item and choose icon and change the size by 1. This has worked for us in the past when icons get corrupted. Hope it will help.

Hi,

If the Short Cut Bar in XP is anything like O2K, then do the following to cure the problem:-

Documents and Settings
UserName
Application Data
Microsoft
Office
Shortcut Bar

There are 3 or more .tmp files, delete them (close the Short Cut bar first!)
Start the Short Cut Bar

If I've got the path wrong, it's still in the same area so go have a nosey!!!!

Cheers,
Carl.
