I have about 300+ Windows 2000 & XP workstation on my network. We are still running an NT server enviroment for now. Here is my question:
I have an icon on all desktops that has a target path as follows:

\\servera\test.exe ServerA is going away an will be replaced by serverb as in \\serverb\test.exe.

How can I change all of the target paths on the icon on everyone desktop. I searched the registry and did not find anything. Any ideas?????????????

You could use a logon script to overwrite the shortcut with an amended version using COPY:
