Can any one help out with this issue?

When I call site B which is remote from the UK,from my house, the call log shows my full number (minus the 00)

Ie. 44 1224 5XXXXX

But when the user tries to return the call from the handset, using the call log, the system dials 9 1 44 1224 5

Losing the last five digits of the number, and replacing the 00 with a 1.

Bellow is a copy of the enhanced dialing rules from the 46xx settings file.

I thought by amending this, it would resolve the issue, but unfortunately not.

############# ENHANCED LOCAL DIALING RULES ###############

##

## These settings affect certain dialing behaviors, such as

## dialing numbers from the incoming Call Log or from web

## pages

##

## Dialing Algorithm Status

## Controls whether algorithm defined by parameters in

## this section is used during certain dialing behaviors.

## 0 disables algorithm.

## 1 enables algorithm, but not for Contacts

## 2 enables algorithm, including Contacts (96xx SIP only)

## SET ENHDIALSTAT 1

##

## Country Code

## For United States the value is '1'

SET PHNCC 966

##

## Internal extension number length

## If your extension is 12345, your dial plan length is 5.

## On 46xx phones, the maximum extension length is 10.

## On 96xx phones, the maximum extension length is 13.

## This value must match the extension length set on your

## call server.

SET PHNDPLENGTH 6

##

## International access code

## For the United States, the value is 011.

SET PHNIC 00

##

## Long distance access code

## SET PHNLD 1

##

## National telephone number Length

## For example, 800-555-1111 has a length of 10.

## SET PHNLDLENGTH 8

##

## Outside line access code

## The number you press to make an outside call.

SET PHNOL 9
I also have a trace

list trace tac 801 Page 1

LIST TRACE

time data

14:00:43 Calling party trunk-group 1 member 14 cid 0x1b2

14:00:43 Calling Number & Name NO-CPNumber STC INCOMING

14:00:43 active trunk-group 1 member 14 cid 0x1b2

14:00:46 Category + CPN 114412245XXXXX

So;

the incoming CPN = 11 44 1224 5XXXXX

calling number was ;- = 00 44 1224 5XXXXX

When a test was run from the number this call failed due to the additional '1' and no '00' international dialing prefix

The 46xx settings file has '00' as the international dialing code.

and I have tested this with the PHNDLENGTH set to 8 and 9.

the outdialing from the call log inserts the additional '1' is this due to the 2 x 1's prefizxed on the incoming cpn number shown on the trace?

Any ideas

Ok... help us out here.

Where is your house? UK? US? Some other location?

The phone that is trying to dial, is it in the UK? US? Other?

Is that phone trying to call a destination in the UK? US? Other?

Sorry, I was just trying to get as much info out asap! LOL!

I am calling from the UK to a site in the Arab Emirates.

I'm still confused.

Could you be a LOT more specific about the location of the phone, the location of it's PBX, how you connect to the PBX, and the location of the distant spot your calling. Is this distant location considered an internal or an external call? Are you all on the same PBX?

You're in the UK, trying to return a call to the UAE, but that call has a UK number... It's very confusing.
