IBM x-345 crash

[BMarn]

Our IBM x-345 server crashes every 2-3 weeks and the followong message appear in Eventlog:
The previous system shutdown at [time] on [date] was unexpected. (EventID: 6008, Source: EventLog)

What causes this problem? Is it possible that this happens because we use two NIC's? Is it maybe related to some other hardware?

Take a look at the System Error log. Based on the Event (the OS had no clue that the shutdown was going to happen), it could be hardware related. If nothing is in the error log, contact (800)IBM SERV for help.

Possible. Why not break the team and just run as single NICs for a while, see if the problem goes away?

I would probably look into upgrading the NIC drivers first though, and possibly the NIC firmware.

This sounds closest to what you are experiencing. There are also problems with version 7.10b of the ServeRAID disk. I would have to see more info on the server to sort out any problems - are you running the on board NICs, what are the levels of firmware, versions of drivers, are there any errors logged in the BIOS ... we have 5 racks full of 345s and they have been great performers.
