Hello!

Have a problem cloning a harddisk on an IBM T40. I'm using Ghost 7.5, and the problem seems to bee not able to clone the hidden IBM preload partitions.

The IBM T40 uses HPA (Hidden protected Area)

Anyone who know which switches to use with Ghost.exe to ensure all partitions and bootinformation to be copied.

Regards

There should be a listing for HPA in BIOS with 3 settings-
High Security
Normal Security
Security Disabled

Select 'Security Disabled', save the setting on the main BIOS menu screen, clone the HD, go back into BIOS, select "High Security', and save the setting.

Hello and thanks for the reply

When i try to change this setting on my Ibm T40 i get an message saying that when changing to 'Security Disabled' i wont be able to change back to any of the 2 secure settings.

Do you know if this is realy through.

I'w also read that if i change to 'Security Disabled' The harddisk becomes unusable
