hi ,

I ve got a Problem with my IBM ServeRAID 4l card :
I Have
2x IBM 18Go U160 10000RPM -> Raid 0
2x IBM 36Go U160 10000RPM -> Raid 0

I'm TRying to Install W2K on it but I get some errors ...
The Problem is I cannot Boot ,I have no errors but after detecting Logical Drive (I have no probems to detect Drive) the card doesn t want to go further ...
The counter is not stuck i can go trought this but when I get "verifying DMI Pool DATA" ,the card doesn t want to go further and boot on the first array created
I just install the latest bios and firmware from pc.ibm.com
(wich is version 6.00) but nothing helps ....

is it a PB with my MotherBoard wich is a KT7a ?

Hello.

You have a Abit KT7A?

Some SCSI-Controllers simply don't work with this motherboard.

And Abit hasnt found a solution to my questions in 1,5 years. That is what they call support. I'm not buying Abit again.

With an Intel440- or Intel81x-Mainboard (made by ASUS) everything worked fine from the first minute.

HTH,

Totty

OK thanks for the HELP
Now i have an other question ...
If I buy a new motherboard how can i know if this new MB is supported by my SCSI RAID card?
