I got two Netfinity 7000 with serveRAID 3H inside. I made an update with the new 6.00 CD BEFORE I read the Issue with the Netfinity 7000 and bios > 3.5.
I tryed to downgrade the bios in a seperate machine but it was not successfull. Booting with the 3.5 Flashdisk shows me that there is no update required...
Is there a way / procedure to downgrade the serveRAID again?

ServeRAID-3.
I remember an IBM tech telling me something like, press Control+F during the boot or during the upgrade to force an upgrade to a earlier version!
Sorry for this vague souvenir...

Down grading the Bios in a server RAID controller.

boot to the 4.7 support CD and the first screen is black DOS screen, then
comes the Linux logo in the UL corner, then the IBM ServeRAID Support CD
screen, then the screen with the IBM chip in the UL corner (a square with a
lightening bolt in it). Put the mouse cursor on the chip and hold down the
right mouse button while pressing the alt key. An "Advanced Option Menu"
will come up on the screen. The first menu option is "Force Update", which
he should select, then hit next, then update.

I work in the GSSC. What you need to do is to boot to the driver diskette. When you get to the screen which indicates that you do not need an update, press ctrl+F. This will cause a forced backflashing of the ServeRAID adapter.
