Hi,

I have this old server and it had 3 disks in Raid5. 1 of those disks died and now I have 2 online disks. Ok so now I want to break the set and either set the raid to 0 or 1. Problem now is that I dont know how to remove and create arrays on this, utilities accessed during bootup have very little options.

Can anyone help tell me what to do?

The serveRaid version is 3. something,I can find this out if really required but it gives you the idea its not the current version 7 or whatever it is.

You need the servraid manager support CD. Boot to that and just right click on the local system and restore to defaults.

Since you had a raid 5 you will lose all your data anyway and have to reload so you might has well update the controller to the latest version anyway.

I got that sorted no problems at all with the boot CD.

Thanks very much

Steven
