Hi,
I have a Netfinity 5000 Serial 23RY800 Type 8659-4UY. It has a single 500 P3 in it I want to upgrade to 2 CPU's but am not sure which VRM to use. I checked the IBM site they list 2 of them the 01K7113 and the 36L8901. I think the 36L is for faster cpu's. Anyone know for sure which one to use and any idea where to get one cheap. Thanks.

You will need to get 01K7113. Can't help you on where you can get it cheap.

Thanks for the info. I found one on ebay with a cpu for 11 dollars and got that one. So I should be up and running by the end of the week.

VRM = voltage regulator module.
It controls and steps down the voltage for the processor

Legalhigh, How did the upgrade go? Did you have to do anything to your operating system to get it to recognize the 2nd processor?
