We have a user on our Metaframe server, named IAMUSR_CITRIX1 (which is the name of our server). The user is in the local admin group and I am unable to find anything on this. The description for the user is Built-in account for IIS Access.

I would assume that you have installed Web Interface (NFuse)on the Citrix server during install?

Do you use Web connectivity to your products?

I looked at my Web Interface Server to verify (NO Citrix installed, just Web Interface 3.0) and found the following accounts:

IWAM_<servername>
IUSR_<servername>
CITRIX_WEB_ADMIN

From the Citrix KB:

I think you were having issue finding info on these accounts as you missed the W in IWAM in the post.

On our metaframe server we have the following users:
IUSR_<servername>
IWAM_<servername>
IAMUSR_<servername>

What is throwing us off is all the others accounts have a description of "built-in ...". This IAMUSR account has a description of "built in..." (no dash in the description like the others). We are just trying to find out if it is legit or not.

Interesting...
I do not have thos account on our Web Interface Server, or my citrix servers.

You may want to disable the account to see if any issues arise with your citrix applications or to see if you lose functionality.

What server OS are you running? Mine are Win2K, but if you are on a different OS, maybe the account looks different.
