Is there any way to program the i2050 to keep the same extension for each user that logs in to that particular PC? This is a real headache having to reconfigure the phone when a new user logs on especially when the new user will have the same extension as the old user. It just seems to me it should hold that extension for any user that is logged in to that PC. Please help!!

Did you try to use the Profile in the setting menu?

I tried the profile setting but that only keeps the settings within the settings menu I believe. I need something that will keep the TN INFO.

The profil.e only keeps the settings within the settings menu.

When you make changes to any feature or function, the changes affect only the current profile.

I need it to configure the TN when first use the softphone for each user to have the same.

Thanks.

Why not having a different Windows login that runs a different i2050 setting? I don't know if it will runs as you wish but have to be explored

We are using different windows login, but the profile that you can save on the phone only saves the stuff that is within the settp at the ings tabs not the node or TN that comes up at the very beginning. Do you know what I mean?

Hi.

I had the same problem a while back + logged a call with BT, our tech support here in the UK.
The answer that came back was that it was not possible to have the TN settings saved as default for every user.
Each new person who logs on to the PC for the first time will have to enter the TN information.

What's about virtual login?
The i2050 is always refering a Host TN. Then the user have to login into it's own virtual TN using the telephone option. It works perfectly for hardware IP phone. Maybe also with softphones.
