Hey all

I want to install the 2050 softphone on a Vista machine. The product page on the Nortel website says that Vista is supported with maintenance release 255. I can find maintenance release 254 but not 255. I call Nortel and they're about as useful as t**s on a bull. They won't help me unless I open a case and give them my credit card #.
Can anyone give me info on release 255? Is it GA or Beta? Can anyone point me to a copy?

TIA

I am also trying to get i2050 working on vista. I have installed the i2050 software from the clients downloads on the BCM and tried upgrading using the 255 upgrade downloaded from the nortel website which tells me i dont have i2050 installed to upgrade.....

Any clues?

Cheers
James

YOu're further alonmg than I am. Can you send me the link to the 255 upgrade?

pybe - the 2.1.255 upgrade will only work if you already have 2.00.228 or 2.00.254 installed.

Where can you get the 2.0 version?

From your vendor. This is not a free version like that included on a BCM.

2.0.xx version is only supported on BCM 50 2.0 or later and BCM 200/400 4.0 or later.

So does that mean that if I upgrade the BCM to 4.0 it will include the i2050 2.0 which I can then upgrade to rel 255?

Cheers
James

No, I found that it must be ordered.

2.0 does work on 3.X systems though. Been using it for almost a year now.
