We have a site where the softphones register ok get dialtone but once they complete the dialed number whether on-net or off-net the call fails and re-order tone is presented. You can reach the site fine via ITG and tdm phones dial out fine over itg from that site. The softphones are register against an ipl line card.
CS1000 rel 4.5
I have disalbed the line card and re enabled it but condition is the same. Do you think reseating the card will help?
Anyone ever see this before?
No firewalls to contend with, no network changes. I can ping the i2004 I have local on my desk from the pbx it is registered against.
here is my trac..

So I want to be clear ... you can't complete a dial with the softphone on your desk. And then you talk about an i2004 at your desk - so is the i2004 not dialing out either?

Do you have any other sites?

You can try reseating the DLC but are there other phones on that DLC that work properly - you mentioned TDM phones ... Its funny because i2004 and softphones don't use Digital Line Cards ;)

Also, just because you can ping your i2004 doesn't mean you have your system configured properly to dial out from it.

Stat your DSP resources, sounds like they may be disabled or bad. Can you ping your TLAN on the IPL card. Also, are the resources in a bandwidth zone that is shared or dedicated to zone that the phone is in?

Initially the complaint was i2050 phones not able to dial anywhere via that pbx. I put an IP phone on my desk localy registered against that pbx for testing and the same condition existed. The issue ended being the zone for IP phones being diabled, when the zone was being checked and showed it was disabled and when the zone was enabled the pbx ini-ed. Once that was complete it was functioning as designed. DSP's showed normal the cards showed no errors and I know the i2004 is not programmed on a digital line card unless you use tn's above 15 :p. Not sure why the INI occurred but the processor must have been taking a beating for the switch to ini.
Also pinging is a standard troubleshooting tool, if that pbx can't see the phone that pulled an address in this office it likely the network needs to be looked at first.
Thanks for the help and responses interesting stuff.
