We just recently purchased new I2004 phones for my center. we were currently using a single network port phone with FW version 0602B29 but the new phones are dual network port phones with FW version 0604D31. When we plug in the new phone for testing, it recognizes the DHCP scop, the TN but does not seem to successfully complete the FW download for the ITG card. what am i missing?

I2004 phone will not register

the i2004 phone is registering to an itg card. we are plugging this new phone into an existing phones port for testing. don't know if that is the cause or not. any way, when we plug the phone into the port, it flashes dhcp settings, then the fw version, then it goes into FW downloading software, then it resets itself, displays the TN, the node, shows connecting to the itg card, then starts everything over again.

the new type phones use a different firmware. You will need to add that firmware to the ITG cards as well as keep the old stuff there. Just consider them a different set type kinda.
