I would like an incoming call to ring a hunt group then after a short time to go to the AA. I am on Avaya 406 software version 3.2. The AA that I created for each branch is a group in the VM Pro and the branch is also in the group on VM Pro 3.2. Thansk in advance. [ponder]

So what have you tried?

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

I tried setting up new group and having the AA Group as the overflow, it went to the branch's voicemail.

forget overflows...
forget shortcodes...

Set voicemail to On for the hunt group and adjust the timers to suit.

In the VMPro manager, create a "leave message" start point for the group. Build your AA in that start point - or copy and paste from your existing shortcode start point. I usually built AA call flows as modules, then if you need the same AA flow in multiple places, you can drag and drop the module to the appropriate spot

I have the current AA built as a group in the VM Pro as a leave start point. Should it be as a module like you suggested? Does it matter what heading it is under ie Users or groups, default start points. Do I need to create this as leave mail start point?
After I created the group originally I put this group in the in the incoming call route so it would hit the AA first, now they want it to ring the branch group then go to AA.

>Should it be as a module like you suggested?

It doesn't have to be, but if you want the same call flow in other places it makes it easier. Also if you want to point a DDI to a call flow it is easier to do "VM:AAname" as a target than point it through a shortcode etc. Pure preference on my part...

>Does it matter what heading it is under ie Users or groups, default start points.

Yes, it does matter! You need it under the groups section, under the correct name of the group (navigate down through the groups tree and right click and add)

>Do I need to create this as leave mail start point?

Yes. If you create it under the "colect" start point, your AA will only work when you log in to the mail box (i.e. try to collect any messages) not what you want! What you are doing in effect, is allowing the IPO to push the call to voicemail to "LEAVE" a message but changeing, for that single group, the behaviour of leaving a messge. In this case instead of playing a greeting and recording a message, you are plying a greeting and waiting for a key press and acting on that
