Hi

Tried to do this about two years ago, the solution I tried only brought me about 70% there, so now hopefully tech have progressed sufficiently to make this possible.

I know that LBASS created a very helpful document regarding createing a calendar in CR, but it still does not quite serve my porpose. This is what I need to do:

I have tp create a 'pretty' calendar which will portray activities in a week by day, and in relation to times and duration of activities.

For example if the activties were:

Day 1 - 9:00 to 12:00 = session 1
12:01 to 13:00 = lunch
13:01 to 17:00 = session 2
Day 2 9:30 to 12:30 = session 3
12:31 to 13:30 = lunch
13:31 to 15:00 = session 4
15:01 to 17:30 = session 5
Day 3 10:00 to 12:00 = session 6
12:01 to 13:00 = lunch
13:01 to 15:00 = revision
15:01 to 16:00 = exam

This must all be displayed in a calendar where dates and times show in relation to each other, for example (and I will try and show this best I can here)...

Day 9:00 10:00 11:00 12:00 13:00 14:00 15:00 16:00 17:00
1 [session 1 ][lunch][session 2 ]
2 [session 3 ][lunch][session4][session 5 ]
3 [session 5][lunch][rev ][exam ]

Does anyone know if this is indeed possible in CR?

I use CR10, soon to be CR11.

Please explain what fields you are working with. In particular, how are the start times and end times determined per session? Also, is there one field that specifies the activity, e.g, session1, lunch, etc.?

Hi, yes sorry I should have included this!

The report will basically work with the following fields.

SessionName (denotes what the session is about, for example lunch, session 1, tea time, etc)
Date
StartTime, and
EndTime

Data would look something like:

Date SessionName StartTime EndTime
01/01/2005 Session1 09:00:00 10:30:00
01/01/2005 Tea 10:30:01 10:45:00
01/01/2005 Session2 10:45:01 12:00:00
01/01/2005 Lunch 12:00:01 13:00:00
etc etc etc
Pretty straign forward, but to get the desired output is not :-(

Thanks
