Norstar MICS 7.0 with 2 X MOX16's and 3 X MOX8A's, CallPilot150, in service since '06.
I'm down to the last 7 of my digital lines, and want to pick up a MOX16 to get me by for another 2 years.
I have an available slot on my fiber expansion cartridge.(NTBB06GA)
One of those MOX8A's is not in use (nothing punched to it) - and since Fax and Modems have evaporated over the years, I might be able to do with just one Analog module.
Is it simple enough to unplug and remove the unused analog module(s), physically install the MOX16, connect the fiber and use the Browser tool (or set) to see if the add-on has been recognized?
While browsing, I came across a site selling PRI Enabler key codes - I read a warning that stated "Rearranging MICS modules will alter the system ID and render the key code invalid."
Other than adding my CallPilot seats if necessary, do I also have to worry about having my SYSTEM ID change when adding and removing modules?
any supporting tips and other tips appreciated,
Thanks,
Nick
Nortel Norstar MICS 7 + Callpilot 100 / T7316E / If I had Nortel certification this would be a cinch. haha. if my Vendor had it...
