i want function to replace last 3 numbers in field

Hello .. I want to replace last 3 numbers in field
example..
table name= table1
field name= salary
contain numbers like 234650 or 5556432 or 8787432
I want replace last 3 numbers by zero 234000 or 5556000 or 8787000
