Problems after upgrading MS Access 97 to 2000 and using Crystal 8.5

I upgraded my MS access 97 to Access 2000 I also upgraded Crystal Reports to 8.5

My database have several data entry form screens, but there are only 2 databases that the data is going into. The databases are 1. PATIENT and 2. PROFILE, it a one to many setup and they are linked by the Patient Medical Record # everything was going fine with Access 97 and Crystal 7.01. now with the upgrades I am getting different counts and data pull-ups when I run the same reports. What is going on here? HELP

hi
do you have the same content in both tables before update

do you have the same filter set

they might have duplicating data in your new tables

check all select expert in if they are correct

cheers

Yes pgtek, I am using the same selection criteria, data is being placed into the same fields the same as before upgrade, i have done the VERIFY and the Dbase set location, sometimes Crystal picks up data for July 03 and leaves off the first 4 months of the year sometimes it does the reverse. Do upgrades work well?

Check your joins.

I'll assume that you mean tables when you say different databases.

If you're using Access, you're probably better served to create a Query within Access as the data source, rather than linking the tables within Crystal.

that way you can verify results from within the Access database.

I agree with synapsevampire. You need to make sure that you DB is ok and to do this, you need to query the DB in access. If the DB is hosed up, then you will never get accurate output in Crystal. Design the queries in Access and then point the report to the queries instead of the DB as a whole. If you modify the queries post-facto, you will only need to "Verify Database" in crystal. Good luck.

synapsevampire, yep I ment tables ; However there are 2 tables linked together tables name PATIENT and the other is named PROFILE

Now some one create an entry form and called it MDRO DATA ENTRY IN ACCESS

Another person creates another entry form called MDRO IN ACCESS 2000

Another person creates another entry form called C. difficile
All using the same 2 tables

Now when I go to report I link to the tables Profile and Patient but the data entered thru the various entry forms is not all being pulled up. Data is being treated as if there were different tables in each form when it’s the same 2 tables in the same directory being used in all the forms.
