Can some one help me out please ?

We have IP Office 500 and I setup a Sansa Clip MP3 player as external MOH

I did hard boot, power cycle and reboot several times. But still there was no progress.

I can hear the music if I connect head phones to MP3 player, but not while I place a call on hold or when I dial *34

HELP HELP PLEASE!!!

Yes I have *34 set in system.

Also if I place a call and ask the person on receiving end to place me on hold, the music is not coming in either.

It was still silence.

Thru the Manager put it on Internal then on External again.

Plug it into the Audio jack instead of the Relay jack. Change out the cord from player to Audio port. Try a different source. Place holdmusic.wav in manager directory and reboot-if it works then change from wav to external in sys tab. Power cycle the control unit.

All else fails the port is blown up. I have never personally seen it but I suppose it could happen.

Alright guys ... I figured out what the issue was. The MP3 player I was using - A sansa clip 2GB is useless.

I followed amriddlers post from other forum and installed an external usb powered sound card provided by Creative Sound Blaster, on my VM Pro server and used Windows media player to play the audio file in a loop.

Now, it works flawlessly.
