I have tried everything. I have a computer on my network. It can log into the network, get an address from the DHCP server, it can access the file server and every other shared network resource, BUT I CAN"T SEEM TO PING THIS COMPUTER. (which means that I can't hit this machine to do a Remote Desktop connection.)
I have:
Turn off the Windows firewall.
Turned on the windows firewall with exceptions.
Changed NIC cards.
Statically assigned the IP address of the machine.
Changed LAN cable.
Changed LAN port on the network.
Looked in Local Security Policy.
Changed the setting for IE explorer
And from the computer I can:
Ping every other computer on the network
Ping the Gateway
Ping the DNS server
This is the only computer on my network (15 nodes, all running XP Pro with 2 Windows 2003 servers) that I can't ping or map too.
I am at a complete Loss. Anybody have any Ideas?????
