Hello.

With Windows NT4.0, I had problems with my recorder (conected to SCSI port). In my phone support, I was told to remove the SCSI drivers, but when rebooting, I got Blue Screen of Death (Inaccesible Boot Device).

Of course... my hard disk is not detected! (because my hard disk is also SCSI).

I've been browsing (I do not want to phone my support), and I read about restoring the system with the original SCSI drivers from the 3 NT installation floppy disks.

As I've got VERY IMPORTANT DATA into my hard disk, I would be extremely obliged if anybody could share their experiences with me, and tell me how they performed it.

Regards and thank you.

You've got only two options as I see it.

Re-install NT when it gets to the part where it detects the previous install and asks if you want to do a new install or upgrade? Pick the upgrade, don't forget to look for the screen to tell NT about additional equipment, then add in your scsi drives.

or

do a second install on the same drive (DON'T FORMAT THE DRIVE).
