I have a Plextor SATA DVD burner that I transfered from my secondary computer to my main pc and this is the error I get when I inserted a DVD and double click the D drive.

D:\ is not accessible.

The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

I also tried differnet SATA cables, but that didn't work. If anyone has a resolution to this problem I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Do you have SATA hard drives as well? if not you may need sata drivers? Sorry if thats a bit obvious :)

What is the model number of the DVD drive? Apparantly the PX-716SA has compatability issues with some SATA controllers.
Could this be the problem?
