Hello,
First off I have experience with NEC and Panasonic systems just not a lot of Nortel, always kinda avoided them lol. that being said I have a Nortel 8x24 system version 30MVM05DR5 that had an old Startalk Voicemail with HD drive that has died... So I bought a refurb Norstar Flash 2 NTAB2455 to replace it. now I have been searching forums to find out the process of changing out this voicemail with a minimal amount of programming and such. I believe that I need to go into the switch and delete all the 9xx feature codes, plug in the the new voicemail (they are both 2 ports) and power them both up? and they should sync and be good to go? other than the voicemail programming itself? if anyone has any info that would make this a smooth sail it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Langley

You will need to program the Flash from scratch. Unplug the Startalk and plug in the Flash in it's place. You can not run both at the same time. Removing the old feature codes is not necessary.

Feature 983, password, 1, reinstall and answer prompts for extension length and such.

Your old startalk mini had to have its own time set, the flash will get its time from the KSU, so it is important to keep the time on the 824 KSU correct to get good timestamps on v-mails.
