I basically have two fields in a table in a Remedy (trouble tracking system) database that I am working with.
One is {Submitter}and the other is (Call_Assignee Group). A submitter is basically the person who originally creates a trouble ticket and an Assignee group refers to a region a computer tech is in. An example of a group is DESKTOP FL, so that means a tech is in Florida. Basically a submitter can either fix a problem and then close the ticket themselves or route it to an assignee group to be fixed. I need a formula that would give me all the tickets where a submitter is from a specific assignee group. The HELPDESK is the group that 95% of the time are the submitters. I need the submitter of the group to be from the group "DESKTOP FL". The purpose of the report is see if techs are opening their own tickets rather than the helpdesk. I am using crystal 7.01. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

How do you know what Group a Submitter is in?

I assume:

"I need the submitter of the group to be from the group "DESKTOP FL". "

means

"I need the submitter to be from the Call_Assignee Group "DESKTOP FL". "

If so, place the explicit (Call_Assignee Group) = "DESKTOP FL" in the record selection criteria.

A submitter can also be in a group as well. The submitter is most of the time in a group called "HELPDESK." A submitter can actually be in any group...all a submitter is somebody who opens up a ticket in the remedy system.

Thanks for you your reply. Here is a little bit more clarification.
This was the last part of your reply..
"If so, place the explicit (Call_Assignee Group) = "DESKTOP FL" in the record selection criteria."

But if I where to do that it would just give me the current ticket information showing who currently in DESKTOP FL(assignee group) has the ticket as far as the TICKET ASSIGNEE....that would not change the submitter's information the submitter could be from any group. I want to be able to link the two fields such as....how can I write a formula stating this...A SUBMITTER's ASSIGNEE GROUP is DESKTOP FL
