Hi,

Im sure this is a simple issue and its staring me in the face. I need a 3902 to give busy tone when its busy. At the moment all it gives is the continuous dead tone when the phone is in use.

I have tried the phone with no forwarding of any sort, just FDN set to forward to itself and all forwarding set to forward to itself, but none of these configs seem to give busy tone.

Can any one help please.

Regards

FDN is for 'no answer', hunt is for busy. Get rid of hunt...

Hi,

Thanks for the advise, but neither worked. I was initially thinking it was just with this set, but its the same on others, so im now thinking its a system wide issue.

is the busy tone set in the trunk anywhere perhaps?

someone has advised me it might be a setting called Treatment somewhere in ld 15 CDB.

Any ideas if this is an option and if so where?

Look at the simple solution first - Maybe set/s are forwarded incorrectly ie in a loop ?

Have a look at their profiles first to determine

Cheers!!

There is no loops etc as the only place it has been forwarded to is itself or no forwarding at all.

After further testing i have found it gives busy tone on internal calls and from an IP incomming call, so it looks like it might be a trunk setting.

This is the trunk that i dont get busy tone from

Anyone know what setting might be making the difference here?

First we were asking about making a 3902 phone return a busy signal when it was in-use, and now we are posting trunk routes (but not trunk TNs). I'm not sure what changed.

You also said it gives "continuous dead tone". Can you desciribe what "dead tone" is?

PS: Does this phone have CLS FBA? If it does, set CLS FBD
