I have used a checkwriter script (written by Murray, I think)for several years. Has anyone else developed a checkwring component for filemaker that I could purchase or use?

I'd thought about doing something like this. The trick is the optically-read font which you'd probably have to purchase.

Are you talking about actually writing and printing the check, or just filling it in based on a field value? I have a calculation that fills in checks. Basically it is a "number to text" calculation that goes to 999,999,999.99.

I print checks and track bills due with my personal database, and have used it in two other databases for clients. The hard part in creating it was the calculation that changes the amount number into words.
I'll be happy to share it with you if you need it.
