I am new To Checkpoint and Firewalls, while editing the internal Interface through policy editor, I managed to hide my entire network from the Firewall and Vice Versa, I can't find any docs relating to this as Its a stupid mistake

Please help me

MAcMan689

check the ip address on the internal interface and make sure it has the right ip address (in the local network)
check the subnet mask (255.255.255.0 is most likely)
(though the 0 may be different or the last 255 may be different)

check your rulebase allows for comunication to the firewall from the network as it is usualy blocked by a rule (stealth)
any - firewall - drop

The Internal Interface is configured correctly (172.16.1.250), what I did was in the Interface options I changed the option from this net to others and in the box I put the object for our secondary Network(194.128.133.0), so the only way I can connect to the Firewall is through a serial connection on the front of the nokia,

I thought I might be able to get to the firewall from the other network but it doesn;t work

Help

try creating a group that includes the firewall and the network then use that object instead
