I am wanting to host mulitple web sites on IIS5. This is easy enough i know. But I want to do it all on localhost on ip 192.168.0.1.

I am not a domain controller so how can this be done. Can I use Hostheader to do this and do I have to add it to the DNS as well or does it do it by itself. Im sorry im a little confused. Plus this machine is on a small network (Using ICS for the internet) at home. Can I still call up the domain from my client browser. ???

Can someone help me please

Thanks for the help in advance ;-)

Use the host headers feature.
It allows multiple sites on one ip and uses common, easy to remember names. It's ok but not if you want to secure the sites with ssl.

i have a question... do you want these sites to be visable to the net, or just internaly??

well, if you are using ICS, it will ONLY use 192.168.0.1 -> That ip is for the ICS Master (the computer handling the conection) If you want the web server to use 192.168.0.1 you have to set it up on the ICS Master, because ICS will only take 192.168.0.1. You cannont change the ip address of the ICS master.

1 ethernet card -> Uses (dsl, cable and etc)
1 ethernet card -> local network -> only uses 192.168.0.1

Hope that helps,
