I have to rebuild our PDC it is using NT4 but it is going to be rebuild as a Win2k box.

I have not rebuild a PDC before and want some advice on any problems that I may run into, and also what i would need to save from the old box to put on the new box.

Any info would be great.

Er

Good luck as Win AD is diffrent to NT4's PDC.

I would rebuild the PDC first unless your bdc is still in one piece.

if you still have your BDC then its simple.

If not rebuild your PDC and upgrade it to 2k with AD.

Tesh :)

Tesh is right. You're not going to be able to rebuild a pdc to w2k because of the differences. You might pull it off, but the problems it would cause would drive you mad. Get the PDC going first, then upgrade. Or if you have a bdc, upgrade it to a pdc, then upgrade to w2k. Good luck. Glen A. Johnson
