I have to change a telephone type.

Hi,

I have a DBC 203 with a extra keyboard, firmware R2D. Telephone is working but none function key work. I have changed the phone type (KSCACIR=28562,ITYPE=21 but it doesn't respond (none function key work).
What is de problem? Is the telephone failure?
Help please.

Hi - Basics, I'd check that the extra strip is properly plugged in, eg bent pin. Take another set with the 21 config and check it.

Hi,

The board is a ELU28 and version is a BC11.
I am check the extra strip and is correct placed.
Another thing, the function keys of phone is not working (the phone only receive and send calls).

It can be problem with telephone, external keyboard ,software or MD110 program unit

Now srad you must make some tests
Test one: check phone end extra keyboard
Test C+*+4
Are you know this test? Like as MS Windows Ctrl+Alt+Del

If no press key "C" and hold, press key *(star) and hold than press button 4
Wait 1 or 2 seconds If all is OK all leds should by light.
If no leds are light external keyboard is damaged.
Make this test with and without panel
Connect telephone without panel and test function keys with ITYPE=20 and ITYPE=21
Connect external keyboard to other phone.
Connect telephone with panel to other EQU on other ELU28. If it is possible in other LIM.
If phone+panel work fine on other ELU – problem with ELU.
If work in other LIM probably problem with program unit
