I have an installer problem. On my server 2000 os when I try to update the os or office updates from Miscrosoft they do not install, it says that the installer program is already in use. How can I disable it, upgrade it or repair it?

You didn't mentioned about the service pack installed(if any).....anyway may this work ..try to uninstall MS Office and then update as required and reinstall MS Office.

Hi,

Thanks for your help. I managed to get it working again by installing version 2 of the insmsiw.exe programme download from microsoft. I guess at some point during the Service Pack Updates to Windows 2000 server you need to update the installer to version 2?
