I have a win 2k workgroup(no domain or Active Directory involved). In the workgroup, I have one W2K Server and 2 W2K Pro. I installed and shared a printer off the W2K server. Using Network Places, I was able to add the printer on those W2K Pro workstations after supplying the administrator password on the server. However, my problem is this: I have to keep those workstations onn all the time, if not, I receive unable to connect to the printer, access denied. Can anyone advise me what I can do on the W2K server whose servicing the printer so I have access all the time without any password and WITHOUT implementing a domain/active directory.

Thanks in advance.

I have run into this problem before. I believe I just had to make the local user an administrator on the server. Just in the local users directory. I'll think about it more, but I did have the exact problem and did get it solved, it's just been a couple of years.
