I have 2 pri's working in 6.1. I replace the combo card trying to fix a networking problem between this MICS and a second MICS. Now my faxes will not work. Will a combo card cause this?

Are you saying you have 2 PRI's off the KSU and only 1 combo card?? I'm surprised you don't have more issues than just your fax not working. Is it Inbound, Outbound, or both?

I have two combo cards in the ksu and they are 2 way pri's. I have card 1 set to primary clocking and card 2 set to secondary clocking.

I would doubt if the Combo was failing that the only issue you would be experiencing is failing faxes.

My 2 cents here. A while back I went nuts trying to debug a problem that was related to a not being able to successfully dial into a RAD. It would connect then hang up shortly. It turned out that the Services card (thats the other function on a combo card) was an older revision and while the T1 worked properly, the timing for analog devices was off and thats why my RAD modem did not work. Your fax problem sounds very similar. Can you try and see if you can stay connected with a rad at this point? If not, change one of the combo cards until the faxing problem goes away, cause it just might work. Check to see if either of the combo cards is rev 1.

I replaced the first combo card for the second time and problem went away. evidently the first replacement card was bad. A bad combo definitly will mess with a fax machine. Thank you for your inputs
