In general, it's probably easier for you to perform some type of OS re-install. Or try to remember the password.
I would install parrallel install of Windows 2000 Pro. Put this install in a different directory. Once the install is complete, I would backup all of my important information. Then I would format the hard drive and re-install a clean OS and all of my applications.
You could always use some sort of drive image software to image the laptop and then restore all personal files after the laptop is formatted and reloaded.
Using files on this site, you can create a floppy that boots into a Linux shell and allows you to change the administrator password. For all of you sys admins out there, it is tools like this that make it essential to ensure that your servers are physically secured!
