I don´t know how to solve problems with our DC, please help...

Using BE 8.6 I got status "Failed" when trying to backup "System State" on our PDC (Windows2000Srv).

The job log states following:
Media Name: "RTVV Full - Created 2002-09-04 at 23:00:03 "
Backup of "\\TVDB\System?State "
Backup set #15 on storage media #1
Backup set description: "Full Daily"
Backup Type: FULL - Back Up Files - Reset Archive Bit
Backup started on 2002-09-05 at 00:31:57 .
Unable to open the item \_SharedHardlinkData_\0.0.0 - skipped.
An error occurred retrieving System State files. The System State file could not be backed up.

Anyone have an idea about how to solve this?

this is usually caused if the service account you are using does not have administrator rights on the DC. Rob Mills

What revision of BE 8.6 are you using? If it is rev 3808, there is a patch for your exact problem:

You have "Restrictanonymous=0" set in the registry to disallow null sessions. This will not allow the system state to backup.

Qdog is right. I had the same problem and the upgrade to revision 3878 fixed it.
