Hello everybody!!!

I deleted sh file from /usr/bin and i copy from other machine and when i run ps -ef does not work says :
ps: syntax error at line 1 ( unexpected.
what can i do?

also any cron task works since that.

SunOS 5.7

thank you very much

Thanks for the answer my friend but still doesn't work

I saw something rare in the /usr/bin/sh file when ls -l is used:

machine good
-r-xr-xr-x 3 bin root 1024 june 3 13:35 /usr/bin/sh

machine wrong
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin root 1024 june 3 13:35 /usr/bin/sh

What is the meaning of number 1 or 3 before the owner field?

thanks a lot

dIEGO

the number (1 and 3) after the permission is the number of link to this file.
My ls -l /usr/bin/sh is :

-r-xr-xr-x 3 bin root 91668 Oct 6 1998 /usr/bin/sh

as you can see the dimension is different, but my os is equal to the your. (5.7)

If you send me an email (klasan@yahoo.com) I reply you my sh file.

p.s. sorry for my english...i'm italian...
