I can't upload text from a variable with a "&" in the text.

I have text that includes the ampersand symbol (&) and I need it to be displayed. I know that symbol is used to start a variable name. HTML has & as a subsitute so the the "&" will display. I need one for flash when inputing information from a variable in a text file. I am using flash 6.

to get the & symbol use %26 in the text file where you want the ampersand to appear.

try to use %26 instead, that is the hexadecimal version of the &-sign

I really think you should use %26 in your text file!

In fact check this for other special characters when you need them...

you can use the escape() and unescape() functions to do this!
