I can't get the server to talk to my vb application

I can open the modem port and dial the number, but After that I can't talk to the server.<br>

I am not using dial up networking. I have to dial directly from VB<br>
<br>
Help!!!

Did you close the connection?<br>
Are you using Mscomm.Port<br>
It looks like a IRQ conflict

2) What kind of response are you expecting?<br>

I agree with hug's comment about mscomm.port but I don't know about the IRQ conflict - yet.<br>
