I cant connect using WinSPM

I have WinSPM 7.0
I cant get connected to a Merlin Magix via thru dialing *10 or direct connect. When i try connecting thru *10 it connects but just sits there and thats after a series of password requests and other pop up windows that are telling me errors and it wont do anything when i hit any of the F Keys. When i try to connect using the 355f adapter, it keeps on telling me to check the cable between the computer and the pbx.
Is it the program or am i doing something wrong?

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Not 100% sure but, the last time I had this problem the admin port and the built in modem where bad. We had to replace the processor to fix it.

As I have stated in other threads, I have a cronic LINE QUALITY problem with one of my clients that makes me try 2 or 3 times before I get in.

Once I am in, I still have trouble.

What type of cable are you using between your PC com port and the "admin" port of the Magix?

The funny thing is that i have another technician come out with Dos SPM and his works just fine. So that is confusing the hell out of us. I am using a computer cable from my laptop to the 355 and then from there a normal patch cable into the admin port. I just tried hooking my laptop to a port on the switch directly and dial *10 and got connected that way but i want to get connected directly.

Now a 321 cable what is the difference between that and making my own DB25 and DB9 ends straight thru and using a patch cord in between.

I can use dos spm to connect but when I install winspm, it does not work. Same cable and same server.
Anybody know how to resolve this?
