I ask total, only last line amount shows as total amount

Hi,

I was thinking that once I drop all fields on list report, I just have to select column heading and press sum button?

this should give me totals at group levels and summary levels?

when I do above in series 7 CRN, it does not seem to showing me any totals.. but only last line amounts shows up as total..what am I missing here..?

Hi Ravina,

When you press the 'Aggregate' button on the toolbar, are you selecting 'Total' from the dropdown menu that appears?

If you select the Quantity column in the list, in properties on the left, what are the Aggregate Function properties in both the Fact Item section and the Data Item section set to?

yes.I select total under aggregate button.
and in properties it says total at 2 places... in some exissting reports where it says.. total(field_name), for me it just says field_name at that place in property and in the report. what am i missing here?
 
Hi Ravina,

You would only see total(field_name) if someone had added the summary as a calculated item, or changed the expression manually. The expression would normally just contain the item name, and the Fact Item aggregate function would take care of calculating the summaries in the footings.

Does the problem you are seeing apply to all your Fact items (numeric fields) or just one?
